Managers Residence/RRC Office Update

The new manager's residence/RRC Office has arrived!  True, it is still in two pieces, but it is on site and will be installed over the next few weeks.

A considerable amount of work has been done in preparation of the site.  We contracted with Villa homes for most of the site work and installation - note that state law requires us to use a certified installer.  Villa provided us with a $3000 discount for the old trailer which they removed.  They also completed excavation of the "pit", allowing us to install the unit close to ground level, and poured a concrete pad that will cover the bottom of the unit.  They dug the trench for the water supply as well.  We also hired an electrical contractor to reroute the electrical service for the unit and the patio area.

Huge thanks goes to Jim McKiernan who has devoted a great deal of time in soliciting bids, overseeing work, and pursuing the required permits.  Kudos as well to Randy Hill, Ray Hudlow, Bill Leonard, and Jim Malone who have pitched in to move all of this forward.  There have been a few glitches, most notably a broken water main that occurred because the original installation of the water main was not done in a straight line, but overall progress has been steady and predictable.

There is still much to be done.  The two halves need to be combined, set on blocks and tied down; water, sewer, and electrical need to be connected; skirting to be installed; and the two halves secured to each other both internally and externally.  We are in the process of encouraging ideas for the community patio area in front of the unit and will have some suggested plans to share sometime over the winter.

If you would like to keep track of the progress we will continue to post photos on the website:  Office Trailer Blog Post

We can all be very proud of this significant addition to RRC that will serve the park for many, many years to come.

All the best,

Board of Directors

RRC Fall Updates and Reminders

A few reminders as we end the season at RRC.

Voting on 2024 Budget -

  • If you are the person registered to vote for your lot electronic ballots were emailed yesterday (9/18).

  • Paper ballots were placed in the mail via USPS on 9/18 and should be received later this week.

  • Ballots are due no later than Friday, October 20th.

USPS Address Changes - We have been informed that the Soap Lake Post office is requiring photo ID with change of address requests. With all of the issues with mail theft, they are attempting to protect homeowners. Please stop by the post office with your address change form and photo ID.

RRC Office Temporary Location - The office has temporarily moved to lot 613, which is Marilyn and Jim's personal residence. Please be respectful of their personal time if you need to stop by. The office phone number has been temporarily disconnected. For now, the best way to reach the office for simple questions is via email: rimrockoffice@gmail.com

Boats - Boats must be removed from the boat basin by the weekend of Oct. 22nd. Please email the office if you have any questions. The lake water level is incredibly low, please use caution if you have not removed your boat from the marina. The public boat launch down the lake may have better access.

Office/Managers Residence Update - The old office trailer is being prepped for removal. We are on track for the new manager's residence/office to be installed this Fall. If you would like to keep track of the progress we will continue to post photos on the website: Here

Warmly,
Heidi
RRC Secretary
