Travel Updates

SR 17 - Slope Stabilization – There was a change in traffic control as of March 25th.   Closures seek to limit the wait time for drivers to 20 minutes or less.  Traffic will be released in one direction, then stopped to allow traffic to clear in the other direction. The road will be open to two-way traffic without restrictions during non-working hours.

In addition to the change in traffic control, there will be a 12 ft. width restriction through the work zone (milepost 76.58 to milepost 85.09) during working hours starting March 25.

Vantage Bridge - Deck Replacement - Beginning Monday, March 11, until the end of May, travelers will experience single-lane closures Monday through Friday. Beginning in late May, traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction seven days a week with the following exceptions:

  • Memorial Day weekend: All lanes open from 7 a.m. Friday, May 24, until 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 28.

  • Fourth of July week: All lanes open from 7 a.m. Monday, July 1, until 8 p.m. Monday, July 8.

  • Labor Day weekend: All lanes open from 7 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30, until 8 p.m. Monday Sept. 3.

Travelers will experience long delays eastbound on Fridays and westbound on Sundays during the summer travel months and are encouraged to choose alternate routes.
